Okay, in a solo practice, there can be days when even I don’t get paid. But, not having to make payroll can be a real stress reliever. I don’t need payroll clerks, complicated accounting and salary schemes; and, most importantly, never have to attend compensation meetings. If there is money in the bank, and bills to pay, I pay them. If there is money left over, I buy a gadget. At my age, it is good to realize that life is really pretty simple, if you let it be. Go solo. You won’t get rich; but, you will be happier, I promise. And, you won’t roam the halls, wondering who is being productive and who isn’t.
