Toyota Recalls 46,000 Tundra Vehicles Amid Safety Concerns

[ad_1]

In a fresh sign of trouble for automobile giant Toyota, a stability and brake performance problem has forced it to recall multiple Tundras.
The vehicles have certain nuts on the rear axle assembly that can loosen over time and, in rare cases, fall off, potentially causing an axle shaft sub-assembly to separate from the axle. The sub-assembly completely disconnecting from the axle can affect the vehicle’s stability and brake performance, increasing the crash risk.
Toyota has addressed its dealers to inspect and retighten the axle flange nuts and, in some cases, replace axle-related components based on inspection results.
Toyota ended 2021 becoming the top seller of automobiles in the U.S. with over 1.9 million vehicles sold, bypassing Ford, which had over 1.8 million sold.
