Timi Dakolo described how a buddy who he believes to be “partially family” attempted to prevent him from obtaining employment.
He explained that he had been suggested to play at the event while the friend was in a room where event preparation was taking place.
While everyone in the room were strangers to him, only that friend knew him personally.
Yet, the one friend he had in the room tried to discourage them from giving him the job.
He claimed that one of the other guests in the room afterwards inquired about his relationship with the woman after learning that she was attempting to prevent him from receiving the job.
Timi said he got the job eventually and the incident taught him a lesson.
