Should you post on LinkedIn on the weekend? Yes!
While you may reach somewhat of a different audience and some of your regular followers may not be scrolling their LinkedIn newsfeeds on a Saturday or Sunday, it’s a great opportunity to reach people who are busy during the week and use the weekend to catch up on social media.
Remember everyone is on LinkedIn at different times and days during the work week. Not everyone uses it daily.
In addition, it can take a post a few days up to a week to reach its full visibility. Sometimes a post will show up in your LinkedIn newsfeed a few days later because another person liked it or commented on it.
If you’re trying to become successful on LinkedIn, the best way to do it is to post consistently. The weekends may give you an advantage because many of your competitors aren’t using LinkedIn then.
In addition, with more than 800 million users now on LinkedIn, it’s never been more important to be visible on social media – and the weekends certainly help too.
Just remember to post value-added, helpful content just like you would during the week. Use storytelling when you can to stand out from the sea of sameness we see on LinkedIn.
An idea for a post would be to post a look back at the past week in your sector, tell a story about something that happened to you that would be helpful to your followers, share advice on a business-related topic or repurpose some of your best performing content.
Try it out and let me know what you think.
