Terminal 2 at San Diego International Airport was briefly evacuated Thursday afternoon after a passenger bypassed security with luggage.
The Federal Aviation Administration issued a full ground-stop for all departing flights while officials assessed the situation.
All passengers who were in the post-security area — including those already on board departing planes — were directed to return for to be screened again.
The security breach occurred around 2:30 p.m., according to the airport’s social media posts.
By 3:15 p.m., passengers were being rescreened and allowed to board aircraft.
