“This is an older frame-off restoration (2014). 1955 was the 1st year of the original 3 years of production to have a V8 and 12 volt electrical system. Of the 700 produced in 1955 with the V8s, only 70 were produced with 3-speed manual transmissions, finally ditching the doggy 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission from the ’53, ’54, and 1st half of ’55 models. According to the C1 registry roughly 19 or so of the 3-speeds are known to exist.”
