The Mightier 1090 Airing Fighting Irish, NFL Football
Sports-talk radio station XEPRS 1090-AM, The Mightier 1090 ESPN Radio, has announced it will air University of Notre Dame football games during the 2022 season, announced station operator Bill Hagen.
It will be the third consecutive season for 1090-AM to broadcast Notre Dame games. The Fighting Irish 2022 season begins Sept. 3 with an away game at Ohio State on Sept. 3.
In addition, for the first time since the station’s launch on Aug. 17, 2020, 1090-AM will air two regular-season National Football League (NFL) games every Sunday, beginning Sept. 11.
“Add the NFL to 1090 was a no-brainer, the NFL is king. And, yet, it is another key and exclusive building block for the station,” said Hagen. “We were very happy to sign for a third year with Notre Dame football, as well. The largest Notre Dame alumni base is in Southern California.”
