On November 15, 2022, the Supreme People’s Court (“SPC”) issued the “Provisions of the SPC on Several Issues Concerning the Jurisdiction over Foreign-Related Civil and Commercial Cases” (Fa Shi [2022] No.18, the “Provisions”) (to be effective as of January 1, 2023), in which significant adjustments are made to the thresholds of courts at different levels to hear foreign-related civil and commercial cases.
