Hit-Run Suspect Arrested After Pursuit from Escondido to Compton

A 22-year-old Compton woman has been arrested in that city after leading police on a pursuit that started in Escondido, authorities said Sunday.

Escondido police responded to a call about a hit and run at 9:08 p.m. Saturday on Harding Street and Lincoln Parkway. The pursuit started on Lincoln Parkway and Broadway.

The suspect was identified as Suadie Irma Valle, who was driving a 2012 Toyota Yaris, according to Escondido police.

She was arrested around 11 p.m. Saturday after stopping her car at a mobile home park at Avenida Elisa and Calle Victoria in Compton. Police tackled her to the ground after she walked out of the vehicle, according to footage shot by CBS2.
