The forecast for the San Diego region this weekend calls for dry, breezy and cooler weather following last weekend’s rain and muggy heat.

“More tranquil weather continues for SoCal into the upcoming weekend. Temperatures continue to trend just a little below normal and that will continue through early next week,” the National Weather Service said.

Late night and early morning patchy low clouds will extend into the valleys, and highs throughout the region are expected to be 5 to 10 degrees below normal.

On Saturday in San Diego, the forecast calls for highs in the mid 70s along the coast, around 80 in the valleys, the mid 70s in the mountains and the upper 90s in the deserts.

Coastal waters are expected to be choppy, with breezy northwest winds 15 to 20 knots into next week.
