// Frasers Group has hired ex-Matalan deputy CEO Greg Pateras as boss of new acquisitions Missguided and ISawItFirst.com
// Missguided founder Nitin Passi, who Frasers Group rehired as CEO in June, is understood to be moving to a consultancy role for the brand

Frasers Group has appointed Greg Pateras as CEO of Missguided and ISawItFirst.com.

Pateras, who was the CEO of ISawItFirst when Frasers bought it last month, will oversee the retail group’s Manchester-based fashion brands, according to a memo seen by Retail Gazette.

It is understood that Missguided founder Nitin Passi, who Frasers Group re-hired as CEO of the business eight weeks after it bought it out of administration, will continue working with Missguided in a consultancy role.

Ex-Matalan deputy CEO Pateras joined ISawItFirst as executive director last summer and took on the CEO role in November with the remit of selling the business, a goal he achieved last month when Frasers Group snapped up the etailer.

He will now be tasked with growing the two online fashion brands amid a turbulent time for the ecommerce industry.

Pateras has much experience in the world of online, having led the turnaround and digital transformation of Matalan, where he quadrupled ecommerce sales.

Prior to that he was chief financial officer of online giant Shop Direct, now called The Very Group.

His role will be an important one in Frasers as the group seeks to deepen its ecommerce prowess. Alongside Missguided and ISawItFirst.com it bought online department store Studio this year and just yesterday made an offer for Australian flash sales site MySale.

Retail Gazette has approached Frasers Group for comment.
