// eBay chooses Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri as its first ever ‘Pre-Loved Ambassador’
// The partnership with the business will see Ghouri promoting a responsible and conscious way of shopping
eBay UK has named Love Islander Tasha Ghouri as its first ever ‘Pre-Loved Ambassador’ after the online marketplace made waves as the reality TV show’s first non fast-fashion partner.
The collaboration between eBay and Ghouri may come as a surprise for some, after viewers speculated whether Islanders might strike up deals with fast fashion brands.
In a first ever, the partnership with the online marketplace will see Ghouri promoting a responsible and conscious way of shopping that can help both wallets and the planet.
Taking to her social media, the 24-year-old revealed the fashion collaboration in an Instagram post, commenting it was a “dream come true”.
“Prior to going into Love Island I have always purchased secondhand for my wardrobe, so partnering with eBay really is a dream come true,” said Ghouri.
“I feel really passionately that we can all make little swaps to our wardrobes and our lives for the better and so I’m excited to join eBay on their mission to put secondhand fashion front and centre. Plus I’d like to think that over the last 8 weeks I have shown that pre-loved serves up amazing looks while bringing out my personality!”
The online marketplace, which has seen one pre-loved fashion sale every second so far in 2022 is on a mission to put secondhand fashion centre stage.
Commenting on the partnership, eBay’s Head of Fashion, Jemma Tadd said, “Over the past 8 weeks, we’ve seen Islander’s embrace pre-loved for the first time ever on mainstream TV, showing that simple additions or swaps to outfits can make all the difference – in so many ways.
“Tasha has been a game-changer and her eye for style is undeniable. She is a fantastic role model for what fashion of the future looks like and we look forward to bringing Tasha’s vision and style to life as our partnership continues.”
More about the partnership will be revealed in the near future as Ghouri kicks off her role.
