A motorist was killed Monday when a van crashed off a Tierrasanta-area thoroughfare, authorities reported.
The fatal single-vehicle crash took place shortly after 10:30 a.m on Tierrasanta Boulevard, just east of Interstate 15, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Paramedics took the driver to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where the victim was pronounced dead, SDPD Officer Lawanda Fisher said. The motorist’s identity was not immediately available.
No other injuries were reported.
