A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck near the northern Baja California city of Ensendada on Monday, with shaking felt in San Diego County.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported the quake at 4:21 a.m., just offshore from the town of El Sauzal north of Ensenada. The temblor was preceded by a 2.5-magnitude quake.
The USGS received nearly 600 shake reports, some from as far north as Oceanside.
There were no reports of damage or injuries in Mexico or the United States from the two earthquakes.
