Deputies Report Woman Killed After Altercation in Vista

A woman was killed in Vista after an altercation with an unidentified man, the San Diego Sheriff’s Department reported Thursday.

Deputies responded  at 8 p.m. Wednesday to a radio call of an altercation in the 1200 block of South Santa Fe Avenue, said Lt. Chris Steffen.

The victim, who deputies estimate was 30 to 35 years old, was found at the scene with signs of trauma to her upper torso. Paramedics took her to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, Steffen said.

He said a man aged 40 to 45 was seen with the victim during the altercation.
