Cal Fire/SD County Firefighters Battle Brush Fire Near Barrett Junction

San Diego County firefighters Monday contained 25% and stopped the spreading of a Barrett Junction brush fire.

The fire, 2 miles south of Barrett Junction and near Dulzura, was reported around 6:45 p.m. on Sunday, according to the San Diego County Fire Department.

No injuries were immediately reported.

Sixteen buildings were being evaluated, according to Cal Fire/San Diego County Fire Department.

CAL Fire ground and air resources will continue building the containment line and mopping up hot spots, the agency tweeted Monday morning.
