Boy, 14, Killed in Corridor-Area Shooting; Group of Latino Males Seen Fleeing Scene

San Diego police responding to a report of shots fired in the Corridor area Sunday found a mortally wounded teen.

The boy, 14, according to OnScene.TV, had been shot several times at about 1:30 p.m. near 37th Street and Polk Avenue.

Officers from Mid-City Division attempted life-saving measures, but the child was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspects are a group of Latino males who fled southbound in a light-colored sedan, police said. Homicide detectives have responded to the scene.

Police did not release the boy’s identity, but bystanders were seen crying and embracing at the scene.
