At Least One Person Died In Crash In Campo, North of the US Mexico Border

At least one person died Saturday when a vehicle ran off the road and crashed in Campo, which is north of the U.S. Mexico border.

The crash on Shockey Truck Trail between the 34065 and 34099 blocks was reported at 6:18 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol

The CHP has not yet been able to reach the remote crash site.

There’s no word yet on the gender and age of the victim. The victim’s name will be withheld pending notification of next of kin.
