2-Vehicle Crash at SR52, Regents Road Causes Injuries, Ramp Closure

An crash involving two vehicles near state Route 52 and Regents Road caused “major” injuries Monday and blocked an eastbound freeway onramp.

Details of the crash were not immediately available, although a San Diego Police Department sergeant described it as a “major-injury accident.”

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported just after 8:30 a.m. and involved two cars. A San Diego Fire-Rescue crew arrived at 8:41 a.m. in response to a vehicle rescue call.

All lanes of the eastbound SR52 on-ramp at Regents Road were blocked.
