Two people were killed and four others were in the hospital in Oceanside after a vehicle crashed into a tree and then rolled over.
Oceanside Police responded to the incident shortly before 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on Douglas Drive at Pala Road near Mission San Luis Rey.
Authorities shut down the northbound and southbound lanes of Douglas Drive from El Camino Real to Old River Street, but the area has since reopened.
The severity of the injured passengers was unknown, according to police.
Oceanside Police were investigating the deadly crash.
